BANG!

Figured I should end the month with one.

Tonight? Fiction Family concert.

AKA my first Jon Foreman adventure of the year.

First of all, I got to go with my amazing friend Kara and her brother Josh, which was great. We nabbed front row seats to the show at the historic Belcourt theatre, which is a really awesome,
intimate kind of venue. But after the first few songs, Jon decided that rugs on stage really made the place it feel like a living room... so he invited the people in the front to jump up on stage and chill in the "living room" for the second 1/2 of the show.

I was on my feet before he finished his sentence.

I spent the second half of the show on stage, sitting at Sean Watkins' feet, feeling very much a part of Fiction Family. :) Not only did they play a song (that's not on any of the albums) that I requested them to play via a blog comment, but they did a few really good covers too, including Radiohead's "Idioteque", Arcade Fire's "Keep The Car Runnin" and a bluegrass version of Weezer's "Pink Triangle" which was hilarious.

The show ended, and I was delighted-- but not done. And without Tyler there to hold me back ;) I decided to wait around and see if anyone would venture from backstage. Josh and Kara ran across the street to grab something to eat and I... dawdled. I texted, I listened to messages, I made small talk with some girl who liked my headband...

...until a flash of white shirt and long blonde hair caught my eye.

Beeline.

Wait for it... wait for it... breathe... stop shaking... stop staring!... wait for him to finish talking to his extended family... girl at my right better not even THINK about stepping in front of me... breathe... breathe some more... no, dark-haired girl, don't tell him that Dave's pulling the car around! I need to do this! Wait for it... let him put his iPhone away... one more second...

"Jon?"

Eye contact.

"Hey!"

Stop shaking! Stop grinning like a fool!

"Hi! I'm Juliette."

Shakes my hand.

"Nice to meet you, Juliette."

"Youtoo!Ijustwantedtosaythanksforplayingthecowboysongbecauseiwassooooohopingyouwouldplayitandirequesteditonyourblogtheotherdayandsothatwasawesomeandtheshowwassogoodandyouaremyfavoritelyricistofalltimeandijustappreciateeverythingyoudosomucheverythingyouwritejustspeakstomysoulblahblahblahandifyouevergettiredofjustwritingamazingmusicandplayingshowsandyouwanttowritethelibrettoforastagemusicalyoushouldcallmeandwewilltotallycollaborate!

"You write musicals?"

"I'm working on it. I'm going to write one."

"That's great! Musicals are awesome. Well hey, I gotta run but thanks for coming out tonight, and for sitting on the stage! It was so great having you guys up there. Etc, etc, farewell pleasantries."

Still grinning. Like a fool.

It's gonna be a good year. :)

p.s. somewhere in there, there was also a "Could I get a picture?" Fortunately, I'm pretty good at the one-armed thing, but then I realized I might be shaking and it might come out all trembly, and then he put his hand on my shoulder and I went to put mine around his waist but he's married and I have way too big a crush on him to do that without feeling awkward. So... I don't remember whether I did or not. But this happened.

"I can't believe my eyes, I must be dreaming,
wake up Jack, this isn't fair!"

Wow, today was eventful. This week, young as it may be, has been eventful!

I have a new Christmas CD. Where else can you find Mariah Carey and the Temptations and Frank Sinatra and Chris Brown and Ray Charles and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Relient K and Jack Skellington all together but in my cd player? Nowhere, that's where.

Yesterday, I saw Australia. It was epic, and mystical and romantic and adventurous and very, very Baz Lurhman. I thought it was beautiful.

I also found a new drink at Starbucks: the London Fog. It consists of steamed vanilla soymilk and Earl Grey tea. Delicious. Especially with a side of Christmas music and a handsome boy across the table.

Also, this week, I am a vegetarian. I know. Yes. I'm serious. It's only for a week. Two weeks ago, Joanna and I decided that we don't eat enough fruits and veggies. So last night, after eating steak and potatoes, we agreed that until next Monday, all we're eating is fruits and veggies.

Actually that's not true at all. This week will be more like an exercise in searching for non-meat protein sources. Today I ate peanut butter crackers and a black bean sub with tomatoes and avocados and provolone cheese and some pasta with s'ghetti saus. I can totally do this.

Actually this shouldn't be dificil at all... but my body tends to crave/run on mostly red meat and sugar/carbs so... this is a bit of a stretch for me. Probably a good one though. It won't hurt.

I also found out today that I'm in a fashion show tomorrow. I got fitted today and tried on three things from this couture boutique-y place on West End. First there was this horrible white tulle "dress" which had a deconstructed Japanese flag on the side of it, and required a lace bodysuit underneath it. Blech.

Then, there was a beautiful, $1700 old Hollywood-looking, salmon pink gown that was almost completely backless, with a train and some Jimmy Choo pumps. Yes. Please. My feet have never known such a wonder. The dress was amazing too. But alas, everyone else was wearing formalish gowns and they wanted me in something else, so...

I'm wearing some $500 stovepipe motorcycle pants with bronze zippers and a black and white corset with some six inch black heels. I am SO rock-n-roll. ;)

Anyway, I should go to bed, as tomorrow will be long.

Oh! But next week? I'm-- well... I'll tell you next week. :)

Power Ranger For A Day

Oh man...

Past two days, I have made all kinds of muscles ache. Isn't that interesting, when you work out muscles that you usually don't pay attention to? Like in your back or sides or whatever?

Man... I am-- conscious of every movement. Ooo!

Why have I beat my body into submission, you say?

We're shooting a movie. For fun. I won't discuss it too much yet, don't want to ruin
the surprise, but there's quite a bit of stunt action involved for such a low budget film. And by low budget, I mean NO budget. :) Anyway, we pulled some strings/asked some favors from complete strangers and consequently, I got to go to a kung-fu dojo and spar/practice a choreographed fight sequence for 2 hours with 3 boys who made it look like I was kicking the crap out of them.

It. Was. Amazing. :) I loved it! Of course, they're all "getting thrown" into the floor and eating it up, practically bouncing off the ground because they're totally used to it. I, on the other hand, while learning to beat them up, sort of beat myself up too.

I bruise like a champ anyway, but after kneeing this guy in the chest about 30 times, now my knee looks like this:

And my arm looks like I just partook in a beastly 24-hour, one-
armed volleyball tournament...
(that's bruises, not a rash.)

But holy cow, it was so much fun. :) And so worth it! Wait till you see the movie. :)

From Left: Mickey, Matt, Jesse, Adam & James

Okay, so I was totally kidding yesterday.

Except that I guess I wasn't. I guess.

Maroon 5 ate at my restaurant tonight. Well, Maroon 3.5.

*Matt Flynn (drums) & James Valentine (guitar) did for sure.

The third party is technically still in question. I personally, am of the belief that it was NOT Adam Levine, because he had grayish blue eyes and a rattail haircut. He was also way more geeky than sexy and was actually terribly polite instead of being a cocky jerk-- which is what I expected. I was reassured by countless others who talked to them and looked at them that it was in fact Adam, but as much as I wanted them to be right-- I really just don't buy it. I'm like 96% positive it was Jesse Carmichael, the keyboard player.

Here's what happened... first of all, I would have waited on them myself, but our hostess sort of freaked out when they walked in and forgot what she was doing and shifted to autopilot. She apologized later.

Anyway, there were originally 4 guys at the table. The 4th guy, who could have been Adam, incognito, (He had the look, and the height and the dark hair and eyes-- but he was wearing this hideous fuzzy sweaterjacket and black glasses... like he was trying to be Clark Kent about it.), left before dinner and we didn't see him again. But the other three ordered and then talked to each other and to their stage crew who was eating at another table. I wasn't even sure it was them at this point, but curious, I took advantage of the fact that their food was sitting in the window and their waiter was nowhere in sight. I dropped off their salads and they seemed to be delighted and even happier that I asked if they wanted cracked pepper on said salads. I checked on them one other time, even though they were not in my section, and on their way out, while I was talking to another table across the restaurant, they walked past me and Jesse/fakeAdam caught my eye and said thank you again. I said "You're welcome, have a great show.", all cool-like. And he said thanks again and they left.

So there's no WAY it was Adam. Adam is a jerk. He looks like a jerk. I'm convinced you can't write songs like "Kiwi" and "If I Never See Your Face Again" and "Harder To Breathe" and "Wake-up Call" if you're not at least sort of an egotistical smart-ass. This dude was way too nice. And really, way too geeky to front a band with an image as sexy as Maroon 5.

So... Jesse Carmichael. Responsible for those great 80's sounding keyboard blasts in "If I Never See Your Face Again" & those staccato power notes in the bridge of "Makes Me Wonder".

Sweet guy.

Needs a new haircut.

And sometimes, I love my job. :)

* I'd just like to point out that while I do really like Maroon 5, I am NOT some crazy fan, and subsequently, had to google each band member's name and picture except Adam's in order to write this blog.

When You Wish Upon A Star...

Yesterday, I went to the Happiest Place On Earth.

We met Ariel. We took pictures at Cinderella's Castle. We laid on beaches and in hammocks at expensive Disney resorts that we weren't supposed to be at. We went on the Pirates of the Carribean ride—and I bought Jolly Roger earrings. I saw Jack Sparrow!!! Twice!!! :) We rode the teacups! We broke the rules in the Swiss Family Robinson's treehouse. We got rained on/soaked while driving the most busted go-karts you've ever seen on the Indy 500 speedway. We went to a Disney Dance Party and danced with Snow White, all 7 Dwarves and Chip & Dale. We got stood up by the Disney Villains. Twice. But they're villains, go figure. We ate dinner at the Starlight CafĂ©, while watching Stitch do the Macarena on stage. We saw a beautiful fireworks show and two parades. We rode the Monorail. We rode the Ferry Boat. And I saw Aladdin. But I didn't get to talk to him. :( He was too busy dancing with Jasmine. Pssh.

But it doesn't even matter. Because yesterday—I went to the Magic Kingdom.

And it was magnificently Magical.

(more pics to come!)

There's a Lot.

Last weekend I watched two movies I'd never seen, both with Anthony Michael Hall in them.
(The Breakfast Club & Edward Scissorhands)

I also experienced that super weird feeling that occurs when you stay up really late-- like until it gets light outside-- and there is no division between "Man, tonight was really fun." and "Damn, that sun's really bright this morning."
(Holly's birthday party)

Last weekend, I looked into purchasing a speed bag to hang in my garage, wore heels for much too long and my hair was all the same color.
(Brownish.)

This week, I started a new project. Spent 4.5 hours at Starbucks, makin it happen.
(Hint: There's a script involved.)

This week, I fell asleep on the couch twice-- and was late to work-- twice.
(I've developed an immunity to my alarm clock.)

This week, I wore a denim miniskirt with flip flops for a whole day, ran into several old friends, and altered (a chunk of) my hair color.
(Think red. Like fire engines.)

36 Hours of Awesome

I can't believe I haven't told you about this!!!

Okay, so Monday was Saffire Cleaning Day. Which meant I had to be at work at 10am. That, combined with the fact that last weekend there was a Grace Chapel Baptism Bash, and that I'd been thinking about getting some writing done, persuaded me to relinquish the idea of a day trip and stay in Franklin rather than drive all the way up to Mt. Juliet to spend Sunday at the lakehouse.

(Backstory: Swanny's friends with a lady who lets him stay at her beautiful Real World-esque lake house, and use her beautiful speedboats and water toys, so long as he cleans it all up for her. Last weekend, we found out about 4pm on Saturday afternoon that we were invited to come up and play.)

But then, I realized that there's one more Baptism Bash to go before summer ends. And then Jared and Handsome Rob hand delivered our "new" washer and dryer, which crossed one more thing off my list, and then Jared also decided to go to the lakehouse. That made the lakehouse roster Swanny, Matty, Jake, Jared, Holla & Kish. So, seeing as how 2/3rds of T3 does not a Trizzo make, and feeling as though I would probably miss out by staying home, I packed two days worth of summer clothes in about fifteen minutes, left my stuff with my roommates, and headed to work. Then, following a less than profitable Saturday night at the 'Fire, I jumped in my car and traveled a little less than an hour North to the lake house.

It turned into the best 36 hours of-- probably the whole summer.

I got there and everyone was hanging out on the upper deck, above the boats. Kish & Matt were talking in the grass, so I climbed the scary spiral staircase (which I later learned was covered in massive spiders. It's amazing what you'll do when you don't know what you're doing.) And listened to Jake play guitar and watched Holly jump off the deck into the dark lake.

After an hour, we went back to the house so Jake & I could change into swimsuits. From there, we jumped into the Jacuzzi, where epic shenanigans ensued for about the next three hours. It was amazing and absolutely hilarious. Truth or Dare just never gets old.

Later that night, the boys suffered through Jammin In Jamaica, Matty & Jake left to head back to Franklintown, and Holly and I launched into another full fledged wrestling match with the Crocodile Hunter that left us-- marked, to say the least. I still have some bruises. He's feisty, that one is. Holla & I have learned our lesson 2 or 3 times over now, but we're just too stubborn to admit defeat. Me, Kish & Holla went to bed around 5:30 am, and woke up the next morning to Swanny jumping on our bed singing about flying carpets and whole new worlds. And bless his heart, he's one of my favorite people in the world, but don't look for him on The Singing Bee anytime soon. ;)

We all got up, got dressed, ate Lucky Charms and headed out to the boat where we spent the next two hours flying across the lake. It was one of the best moments of my life. It was magical. I could not pry myself off the nose of the boat. Later, under pressure of being thrown in if we dared refuse, we jumped in and swam in the delightful murky fish water. And on the way home, I let the wind blow dry my hair and it was all halfro and fabulous.

Came back to dock, since we were nearly out of gas, and made burgers for lunch. Jared's grill skills are impeccable. We tore those things up! Jared and Kish took powernaps while Holly and I went on an *adventure to round up more gasoline. After a few hours passed, we loaded up the boats again and headed back out to a spot called Two Foot Cove. Upon finding it, we cranked up Luna Halo, dropped anchor, jumped out and wandered through the crowd of Weekend Warriors, hoping to start a volleyball game on the court set up in the center of the cove. We did start a game, and we won! :) Jared,-- excuse me, Liam Westerbridge-- pretended to be his British alter-ego and we acquired Jello shots from a neighboring boater who was happy that Kish & I were representin the black population at the lake. :) Then we got back in the boat, sped across the lake and got ready for dinner.

While waiting on Jared to grill the steaks, we watched Big Brother and I played with the beautiful lab puppy from next door. Then I drank my very first Red Stripe (Hooray Beer!) and ate the best steak I've had in a long time. Holy cow, it was amazing. Mmmm!

We cleaned up from dinner, grabbed ice cream and fireworks and headed out to the dock to shoot them off. After almost blowing ourselves up/setting things on fire, we walked back to the boat dock where we all jumped in and cruised out to the center of the lake. We sat there until the water turned to glass and the stars glowed bright. Lightning 100 provided the background soundtrack as we told stories, answered questions and began to think for the first time about how much we're going to miss Swanny in about a month.

Pulling back into port, we bid the boat farewell, showered and said goodbye to Jared. Then we all fell asleep in Swanny's giant bed watching tv until someone woke up and made everyone go brush their teeth and go to bed for real.

Next morning, Kish & I headed back to Franktown and the real world, talking the whole way home about how happy we were that we'd gone. It was truly the best 36 hours I've had in a long time, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

* By adventure, I mean Holly spilled gas all over her swimsuit coverup and it was so hot outside that I'm surprised she didn't just explode right there.

Carpe Weekend!

  • Tried on a red hot smokin dress for Holly's birthday party-- and then, a Batgirl costume. Sort of.
  • Talked to Swanny on Skype. The first of many times, I'd imagine.
  • Punched all my nervousness in the face and jumped on the back of my friend Nick's motorcycle. We rode to breakfast at Loveless Cafe via the Natchez Trace, which is probably the best place to ride a motorcycle ever. Ate pancakes, and then rode back home. Best use of a morning in a long time.
  • Discovered that there are secret clubs you can only be in if you have the proper vehicle. These clubs all have special waves or acknowledgements that they throw at each other in passing, like they all went to the same university or something. There's a Speedboat Club, a Motorcycle Club, a Convertible Club, a BMW club, a VW Bug Club, a Cyclists Club-- it's crazy, really. I bet in Europe there are Vespa clubs too. But not in Rome, so much. That'd be crazy. Everyone would just be waving at each other all day.
  • Discovered that it is not necessarily speeding that I enjoy, but the feeling of flying. This is why I enjoy driving with the windows (or the top) down, perching mermaid-style on the nose of the speedboat and riding on motorcycles. I do not however, enjoy the feeling of freefalling, which is why I don't see myself bungee jumping or skydiving in the near future.
  • Bought deliciously fugly crimson ugg boots at Charlotte Russe.
  • Spoke some of my new Spanish vocab to the crew in the dish room at work.
  • Worked a wedding/reception in the Blue Room at work and made $350.00 in one swoop, thanks to all the food and alcohol consumption.
  • Drank a tic too much leftover champagne after hours while cleaning up the Blue Room from said wedding.
  • Went to church, thanked God for my roommates, absorbed encouragement about life in general from everywhere, and admired him in his blue shirt, even if it might've been from Baby Gap.
  • Sang Justin Timberlake very loud in the car with roommates.
  • Went to Pancake Pantry in very good company. Branched out and ate French Toast! And eggs. And hash browns. And orange juice. Man, I love breakfast.
  • Watched the Bourne Ultimatum, cringed at the car crashes and remembered when Albert Finney was a Big Fish. Very good movie.
  • Walked Mojo around the neighborhood until he and me and Holla were wore out.
  • Brainstormed the new T3 Blog. More to come.

It's been a good weekend. :)

Si, Bailar!!!

Yesterday was no ordinary Jueves.

After Bible study, I put on a swishy black skirt. I pulled my hair up and put on sparkly earrings. I put on my silver heels, which happen to be the tallest heels I own... I think. (And it was okay because the friend I was headed out with is like 6'3 or so.) And I went to get my salsa on.

Not like Mexican cuisine. No, this was Ibiza, a local salsa dancing joint.

It was amazing. So many people there were great dancers! It was slightly intimidating, but I'm infatuated, and I want to be muy bueno at it! We'll see how it goes... I think they give free lessons on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights... :)

And I made a new friend! Santana. Named after Carlos. He was a fabulous dancer. And he works for WorldVision. And likes switchfoot. Amigos? I think so!

I worked all day today. It was aight.

But at Bible study, I also found out that tomorrow, I get to go school supply shopping, for an unnamed local immigrated *baby who can't afford a proper Trapper Keeper or the 96 Box of Crayolas. I am SO excited. This kind of shopping trip comes in second only to shopping for my annual **Shoebox Baby.

So it's been a good week, I suppose! Hopefully this pattern will continue.
And now, some tiny, random movie reviews.

Pirates 3
While a big part of me loved the ridiculous inconvience of the Swann/Turner nuptials, the ending of this movie is ridiculous. There is no way I'd be cool, chillin out on an island for 10 years, raising a kid by myself, waitin on his Daddy to show back up. And where's little 9 year old Liam gonna go when Daddy gets back?! How do you split one day between the love of your life and the child you've never met?! No thank you. It stresses me out just thinking about it.

The Fountain
If you really, truly, genuinely loved this movie-- I wish you'd tell me why. Really. Especially if it changed your life. I'd like to know how. Because it didn't do anything for me. Not one thing. Sorry. I've heard rave reviews for the soundtrack, and I can get behind that. But the film itself, while sort of pretty at parts, mostly struck me as a forced, desperate, somewhat esoteric attempt to be tragically romantic and intensely meaningful/profound. I can't recommend it. Go watch the sun rise (or set) from the top of a mountain or very large hill... or maybe a lake. It's a better use of your time...

And that is all. For now. :)

*I call nearly everyone a baby who's more than two years my junior. Two years or less, and you're a kid. And I mean it all in the most affectionate way. :)

** Angel Tree Child that you adopt from church or the mall at Christmastime.

Kiss The Cook

So I may not have a large immediate family/circle or any blood-related brothers (or sisters),
And I may have never cooked for more than five people in my entire life.
In fact, cooking in and of itself is a brand new thing for me.

But I sure did just finish cooking Sunday lunch for a pack of 18 or so Narrow Gate boys. All by myself. It's all in my fridge, waiting to be taken to church en la manana. It's a hearty conglomeration of potatoes, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, beef and chicken that my House 9 roommates & I affectionately refer to as Man Food. And y'all-- it's good. I'm really pretty proud of myself, and I hope it reheats well in 9 hours or so.

Also, I can I just say that love having male friends who I can call with cooking questions? I now have two fellas in my rolodex who are professional chefs. And I'm not entirely sure what I'd do without them. :)

Mmmm. I haven't slept nearly enough the past few days. It's catching up with me.
So I'm gonna go chase it down. Buenas noches!

Tres Historias

A "Such A Time As This" Story

On Wednesday night, I pulled into my driveway after work. As I got out of the car, I noticed our next door neighbor out "walking" his dog in the front yard. I've yet to meet this kid, as we've only lived here about a month and I have sort of a wild schedule. Anyway, he's a good-looking guy, about 25 or so, a bit shorter than me, always working on his car or mowing the lawn, and always without a shirt. (He claims to be allergic. Mmhmm.) He said/sort-of-slurred hello to me across the lawn and as an afterthought, asked my name. I responded, commenting on the fact that it was strange we hadn't officially met yet. I dropped my shoes, my keys and my apron in the house and flipped on the porch light as he and the pup came across the lawn. We shook hands and I learned that his name was Clint, and that his adorable five-month old German Shepherd/Husky mix's name is Mojo. :) Wicked cute.

Anyway, I'm standing in my socks, in the flower beds on my front lawn, talking to this man who I can now tell is clearly wasted. He starts talking and all of a sudden, confessing that he "doesn't even know me and I prolly don't want to hear this", he starts telling me about what's going on in his life, how he's sad because he has to "go away" and by the time he gets back, he won't even recognize his dog. Turns out he's headed to jail for five months for "[getting] angry and doin' something stupid". I didn't inquire the nature of his offense, but instantly felt sympathy for him. I told him that my roommates and I are a praying household, and that we'd be lifting him up during this really craptastic time in his life. And I reassured him that I wasn't just saying that, but that it would actually be done, on a daily basis. He was kind of shocked and very appreciative. He told me he prays every night before bed, mostly about his problems, and I encouraged him to keep talking to God, about anything he wanted, because he would always be heard.

We chatted/he rambled a bit more, and I played with Mojo a bit. After about 10 minutes had passed, we were about to part ways when I told him again that I'd be praying for him. It struck me then that I should pray for him immediately. So I asked him if I could, and while taken aback, he instantly agreed to it. I prayed for his strength, his protection, his heart, his will and his faith.

When I finished, he was sort of quiet. Then he thanked me very sincerely and asked me what church I attended. I told him about Grace, as it is a haven for many young men (and women-- and older men and women!) much like him. I invited him and gave him my number and told him he was welcome to ride with or follow my roommate and I on Sunday morning. He seemed very interested in the possibility, and after that, we shook hands again and parted ways.

When I walked inside, I realized that those 15 minutes were the best part of my day. What a joy to be used by God! To point someone so disheartened in the direction of his Creator! Wow. I was so grateful for that moment. I don't even know if Clint remembered our exchange the next morning, but I've been praying for him, and you're welcome to join me. If all the drama we've been through with this house was simply to remind Clint that Jesus loves him and is with him always? It's been worth it.

An Imaginary Car Chase Story

I made a new friend this week. He's Irish (descended from-- no accent, but can fake it pretty convincingly). He's visiting from Wisconsin, and he has long coppery orange wavy hair and freckles. He's also hysterical-- and can spin a car around 180 degrees and then drive it in the opposite direction.

How do I know this?

He showed me a video on his phone of him doing just that in a snowy parking lot in WI.

...and then (after a tic of deliberation) I let him do it to my car.

We were in the parking lot behind Target in Franklin, started out going backwards at about 20? mph. Then he ripped the wheel around, heading us in the other direction (made a magnificent screech) and sent us flying forward and away from the scene of the (noise) crime.

I know, I know-- one day my "man, this'll make for a great story" excuse is going to get me in mad trouble... but isn't that cool?!?!

By the way, his name is Adam.

I mean, of course it is! ;)

A Delightfully Unfair Story

Okay, clearly my roommate (Kisha-- well, Holly too, but this story is about Kisha) is beautiful. But this is exactly how beautiful (and divinely favored) she is:

Last night, she and I were driving home from Chili's and we got pulled over because her left tail light was out. The popo had noticed this immediately. What he did not notice immediately was the fact that her inspection sticker was expired, the fact that her car is still bearing Texas plates, even though you're supposed to get them switched to Tennessee plates after 30 days of residency-- and yes, we've lived here a year now-- and the fact that she'd left her license at home on her bed.

He asked for her license and registration, one of which, she produced. When she confessed to not having the former, he goes, "Well, here... just write down your name, your social and your birthday so I can run you through the system."

So she does.

He comes back. He tells her to get her light fixed, tells her to always drive with a license, tells her to get her plates changed, gives her directions to the DMV--

And tells us to have a good night.

No tickets. Not even one.

Fie upon the day when all tickets just come in the mail and live popo's are replaced by unsympathetic A.I. robots.

Till then, God bless you, Williamson County traffic law enforcers. We know it's completely unfair and we've done nothing to deserve such favor--

--but we're grateful nonetheless.

:)

THE END
